Last Thursday, the 27th of April, was Kingsday here in the Netherlands. And it is kind of a tradition for people to go out on the streets and sell stuff they don’t use or need anymore. And on nice sunny days it is so very fun to nose around, see what cute or funny things you can find for a great price. Which is exactly what my boyfriend’s mother and I did.
I did a little bit of shopping over the last few weeks. Just 4 items, but I wanted to share them anyways, because who doesn’t love a bonus post?
It’s mainly summery items, because in my head I’m already on a beach in 30°C sunny weather with a cocktail and a good book. Sadly, for now that’s only in my head.
This time, they are pretty much all things I had been wanting and looking for for a while, so no guild here!
(No, not my house, just a pretty picture)
I have been living in this apartment for almost 2 months now, and in those 2 months I have been going back and forth on whether I wanted to do a sort of finished apartment tour, showing you the different rooms and how we decorated and furnished the house. But as I was trying to take some pictures and see how it would all work out, I just decided that it didn’t really work in picture form for me. So I came up with a new plan.
Last Tuesday we finally did something I have wanted to do with my boyfriend for over a year.
February was a good month. Like, really good. We moved into our new apartment, as you could’ve read in my Just A Chat post a few weeks ago (I promise pictures of the almost finished result are coming soon!), and I started my first school/course like situation in over 4 years and it is actually going really well, although I still have to get used to waking up early and doing my homework. February also makes me very happy because it means it is almost spring time. Goodbye cold, ice and snow! Although with the Dutch weather you never know if it might not just come back in March to annoy us a little more…
Anyways, that was my February recap, now let’s get into my 5 Faves!
A new month has come and gone, so it is time for my January 5 Faves!
It has been a weird month, lots of traveling back and forth between Delft, where I have been temporarily living with my mom, and Utrecht, where my boyfriend and I are watching his dad’s house, and more importantly, his adorable dog, while he is away. It was hard not really having a home base, but that will all change in February.. 🙂
It was a month of snow, rain, wind, cold, but also many beautiful days, and let’s be real, a sunny day when it has just snowed is so very pretty, even though it is also very cold.
But enough about the weather this first month of 2017, let’s get into my 5 favourite things this January.
A post that is a bit different from what I’ve put up previously, but this is a big thing in my life and I wanted to share this. I think I am going to make these kinds of long diary-like chatty posts a thing every once in a while, just to update on what’s going on in my life, things that are on my mind, things that are happening, etc, etc…
So here is the first one, about my new apartment, and mainly how it all went down.
I decided to try and pick up this whole blogging thing again. Although, let’s be real, I never even really started it in the first place.
Anyways, this time I am going to try to actually stick to it, and what better time to do this than at the start of a new year? And with a new year come new years resolutions, new goals, new things I want to try to achieve. So for my first post in 2017 I am sharing my goals for this year.

I wanted to put up another post today, one of my amazing finding in a €1 store, but that’ll have to wait as I really felt like posting this first (and also I still have to take some pictures for the haul but it’s too dark to do that now).
