A Rimmel And Hema Lip Combo – Not So Weekly Highlights

I feel like I may have shared this lip combo here on the blog once before, but if I did that’s okay. It just goes to show how good it it.

It is honestly what I’ve been wearing on my lips most in the past month or so. It is the perfect every day lip colour, it lasts well, it is comfortable and it goes with pretty much everything. And it’s a pinky nude, I love my pinky nudes.

“What is it?” you ask? Well, let’s have a look…

This is the Hema long lasting lip liner in 01 Nude, layered underneath the Rimmel The Only 1 lipstick in 100 Naughty Nude. Well, not layered in this photo obviously, but I wear them layered, like in the header, and I absolutely love the look. The liner is a little more brown, and the lipstick has a more nude/pink tone, and together they are just perfection. Truly an everyday colour for me, for when I don’t want to think about what to wear on my lips. The liner really does make my lipstick last longer, and the lipstick itself is so creamy and comfortable to wear. It has a bit of a shine to it, so if you’re into matte nudes this isn’t for you, but I love it. Clearly. It is also a really budget proof combo, the liner costs around €4,50 (I think, maybe it’s even less) and the lipstick I believe was around €9. One thing I don’t love is the fact that I don’t think the Rimmel lipstick is sold in the Netherlands anymore, I can’t seem to find it anywhere in store. That kind of sucks.. Thankfully I won’t run out of this anytime soon, so I have more than enough time to hunt it down somewhere else. Or at least find a really good dupe.

Did I say I have one favourite lip combo to show you? Well, I lied. I have two. I mean, it is pretty much the same combination, but it’s red, the perfect colour for this time of year. It’s what I’ve been wearing to work almost everyday this past week because it’s Christmas, and honestly it’s what I always reach for whenever I’m feeling a true red lip.

This is the Rimmel The Only 1 Matte lipstick in 500 Take The Stage, and this is basically the perfect match with the Hema long lasting lip liner in 04 Red (Hema being very creative with their product names right there…). Both are the perfect red, and together they are perfection. The liner makes sure that the lipstick lasts longer and doesn’t bleed into the lines around my lips, and the lipstick gives it that perfect matte look. Despite being the matte version of that nude Rimmel lipstick, this red one is still so comfortable to wear on the lips and it looks absolutely beautiful. I love that I can wear it all day at work, no problem, and I maybe have to apply it after lunch but really only if I am being really fussy about it fading a bit. It is that perfect Christmas red, and always just puts me in a happy mood whenever I wear this. Guys, Hema and Rimmel are just a match made in heaven.

Okay, that really was all for today. My two current favourite lip combinations.
