Not So Weekly Highlights #22

With a new season comes a switch in perfume.

So today’s highlight is the perfume I’ve been gravitating towards for the last two weeks or so. It’s one I’ve had for a while now, and I keep coming back to it every spring. It’s such a beautiful scent. Oh, and the bottle.. Aaah, I love it.

Dolce Rosa Excelsa by Dolce & Gabbana

Tadaa! Isn’t the bottle stunning? I love the rose cap and the cute simple bottle. Oh, and I love the scent as well. Here are the notes according to the Dolce & Gabbana website:

The fragrance opens with a sweet-smelling explosion of lively Neroli leaves and Papaya flowers, dissipating into a floral bouquet of White Water Lily and White Daffodil.

Precious notes of Turkish Rose Absolute and rare African Dog Rose add charming richness to Dolce’s signature blend.

The feminine floral heart is counterbalanced by a background of warm Musky notes, Cashmeran and Sandalwood, leaving a sensual trail of light woods, earthy tones and piquant spices.

It’s a sweet but plant-y scent, and actually quite strong. It lasts all day but, to me at least, it is not overpowering. It means that this bottle – I got the 30 ml one – lasts a good amount of time.
I actually had the original Dolce fragrance before I bought this one, and loved it so much that I had to get the rose version. I finished the original one though, and there were similar enough to me that I didn’t need to repurchase it right away. I might get it again soon, though, as I am slowly but surely running out of this one.. I also just found out there are more fragrances in the range, so I might just have to check those out as well.. 😉
Anyways, I love it, and I think it is a perfect spring and summer scent.

Thanks for stopping by ❤
