Can you believe it is August already? I know I can’t.
Of course it means it is time for my 5 Faves again! There are some great items in there (most of which you’ve already seen a few times) so stick around for that!
But first, of course, a little bit of reflecting on how my month was.
I have to be honest, I can hardly remember most of July. I just do not really know what I did in those first few weeks. I feel like it was just mainly working on the blog, doing boring adult stuff that you have to do when living on your own (cleaning and grocery shopping and stuff like that), hanging out around the house and counting down the days to when I got to see my boyfriend again. And preparing for my trip to Germany and Denmark.
Speaking of, I’m still thinking of putting up a little travel recap with some pictures and stories from the road trip, but I just need to find time to go through the pics and put it together.
Obviously the best thing about this last month was that trip and seeing G again. I had so much fun spending those few days with my dad and also the 3 of us.
This past week was really nice as well. We didn’t do much, just hung out around the house, went to Utrecht a few times, had G’s dad’s dog over for a few days (our couch is still covered in dog hairs from that) and just enjoyed being back together.
But now that time is over, because as you are reading this I have just had my second day of my internship, and I will be preparing for our trip to Antwerp (which I am SOOOOOO excited for!)! But more on those to things in another post 🙂 For now, let’s get into what I have been loving this month.
1. Visions – Kelley Armstrong
Yes, I just finished it and yes, I already ordered the next book in this series. This third part in the Cainsville series, like the second, did not disappoint. It had me on the edge of my seat and constantly wondering what would happen next. I would 100000% recommend this series to anyone who loves urban fantasy! We get some questions answered, most of them actually, but the story is definitely not finished and I can’t wait to read what happens next.
2. BE Creative Makeup Eyeshadow Palette
I’ve had this palette for years, and although I’ve always liked this palette, there was a long time that I hardly ever used it and that it just kind of got lost in my stash.
This past month, however, I’ve rediscovered it and fallen in love with it again. First of all, the big mirror makes it great for travelling, and the easy to throw on the lid colours do as well. I don’t really combine these colours together or with other shades from other palettes, they are all just lovely to wear on their own all over the lid. I have especially been loving the top right shade (forth from the bottom in the swatches) and the middle bottom shade (second from the top in the swatches). The blush and highlighter in this palette I don’t actually really use, but the idea was nice.
3. Hema Matt Lip Cream Nude
When I saw this liquid lipstick in store a few weeks ago, I was a happy little girl. You will know, if you’ve read my latest Mini Haul that I’ve been looking for this particular shade for a few months now, and that I had kind of given up hope of it ever getting back in store. But it did, so as soon as I saw it I got it. And it didn’t disappoint! The colour is beautiful, neutral but with a bit more uhmpf (if you know what I mean), and it is comfortable to wear even though it is a matte lipstick. And the price, €4,50, is also really really nice!
4. Dolce & Gabbana Dolce
My perfume favourite this month is kind of a sad one, mostly because I’m running out. I’ve been wearing Dolce with much love for the past 2 years or so, and this month I decided to make it my monthly scent again. It is just a lovely summer scent that still goes quite well all year round. The bottle is super pretty was well, which is always a plus. As you can see from the bottle it is a fresh floral scent, with musky notes to balance it out.
Yes, I googled that last bit.
5. Primark Men’s Bomber Jacket
My fashion favourite this month is one I probably won’t be able to use as much anymore, sadly, because I had to give it back to my boyfriend. Because yes, this jacket is his. I just used it for the past month and a half because he wasn’t here to use it, and because I wanted a lightweight jacket that I could throw on with everything, that could still keep me somewhat warm. This lovely thing was just that. I love the oversized fit on me, as well as the colour and light cotton fabric, and I will now make it my mission to find something just like that, so we won’t have to constantly fight over who gets to wear the jacket (spoiler alert, he usually wins…)
Alright, that was all I’ve been loving this month. That is new(is) or rediscovered, that is.
Thanks for stopping by!
