5 Faves – May 2017

Another month has come to an end, so it’s time for my 5 faves.

Can you believe it’s almost summer already? Not that I’m complaining or anything, I love summer, but time just seems to go so fast!
Anyways, May was an interesting month for me. I had a photo shoot for the new Hoezo Anders website that is coming, which was a lot of fun! I spent a day at Blossom Books to see if working in publishing is something for me, which was also really fun and interesting. And of course, my boyfriend left to go to Denmark for 2 months. Not so fun, but I am really happy for him.

As for my favourites, I discovered some products and items this month that I love, and that I will share with you right now!

The Body Shop Drops Of Youth Liquid Peel

I got this product a few weeks ago, after seeing it all over The Body Shop’s Instagram. It looked really fun and interesting so I decided to pick it up. Turns out that lot’s of people had the same idea, because when I went to the first store in Utrecht they were all out of it, and in the second store there was only one left! Needless to say, I got that last one.
And I have to say, I’m so happy I did! It leaves my skin feeling really soft and clean, without irritating or drying it out. Definitely worth the hype!

The Body Shop Skin Defense SPF 50

Another The Body Shop product, because I do love my The Body Shop skincare. This is a daily moisturizer with SPF 50, which is seriously perfect for the summer! I have been using it almost every day this month and the idea that, besides just moisturizing and taking care of my skin, it also protects my skin is really good and comforting.
Also, the packaging is real pretty.

Stitch, Please Babygirl Sweater

Seriously, how cute is this sweater? And it is cozy too! I got this at the beginning of the month, and have been wearing it most evenings, and during the day too whenever it was chilly. Now, with this heat, I’m not wearing it as much, but I still love it so much! Very comfy and cozy, and it reminds me of Criminal Minds, which is always a plus.
You can get your own Stitch, Please item with a 15% discount with the code taramonfils15ย and as far as I can tell this sweater is still available!

Spread The Book Love Canvas Tote

As I mentioned before I spent one day at the Blossom Book office to see if that line of work is something for me. Now, aside from being a publishing house, they also run a web shop where they sell canvas totes, pouches, mugs, and other cute bookish things. And at the end of the day they gave me this super cute tote, which was so sweet! And I have been loving it ever since! As much as I like carrying around a smaller cross-body bag these days, sometimes you need a bigger bag to shove all your stuff in, and this baby has been my go-to bag for those day! It is so sturdy, and the quote is just hilarious!

Wild & Closed Casket

Last month I told you I had been in a bit of a reading flunk. This month I got out of it with the help of these 2 books.
The first one, Closed Casket by Sophie Hannah, is a Poirot novel, and I have to say Hannah did an amazing job of channeling her inner Agatha Christie. I really enjoyed this book (I do love me some Christie) and I finished it last week.
The other book, Wild by Cheryl Strayed, is different from what I am used to, as it is a memoir. However I think it is beautifully written and I don’t find it hard to read at all. I am about half-way through now and cannot wait to finish it! Very happy that I am getting back into reading ๐Ÿ™‚

So those were 5 things I’ve been loving this month. I hope you discovered some new products.

Thanks for stopping by!
