2017 Goals

image_2_editedI decided to try and pick up this whole blogging thing again. Although, let’s be real, I never even really started it in the first place.
Anyways, this time I am going to try to actually stick to it, and what better time to do this than at the start of a new year? And with a new year come new years resolutions, new goals, new things I want to try to achieve. So for my first post in 2017 I am sharing my goals for this year.

1. A blog post a week.
As I mentioned I want to try and actually keep up with this blog, so my first goal is to post one blog post a week. My content will range from fashion and beauty to books, travel, home decor and maybe some more personal posts as well.
I truly hope I can achieve this goal, because I love writing and sharing the things I love with whomever comes across my little place on the Internet, and I also think blogging will also be a nice way to escape my boring days at home and keep me occupied.

2. Make at least 2 cookbook or Pinterest recipes a week.
Although I do quite enjoy cooking I often don’t know what to make, and so I tend to cook a lot of the same things throughout the week. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it can get a bit boring. So I have decided to try and make at least two recipes a week that aren’t my own. It’ll be fun to try new things, and it might even help me to meal prep a bit, and not have to think of something for dinner at 4 in the afternoon. I don’t think I will manage to do this every week, but I am gonna try!

3. Find a job or study.
A little background information to go with this goal, I dropped out of school when I was 16 due to depression, and have been out of the normal swing of things ever since. Now, 5 years later, I feel ready to (slowly) start living the life of a normal 21 year old – school, work, something like that.

4. Save money.
I like spending money. I like shopping. I like clothes, and shoes, and makeup and books and food and this tends to cost me quite some money sometimes. Mainly because I sometimes can’t really control myself, and spend money on things I don’t really need (like most of the things mentioned earlier). I am going to try to think before I buy, only buy things I really love and want (and need, mostly) and save more money for things that actually make me happy, like better quality stuff and traveling, for example. I am going to try to save up for things I have on my wishlist, instead of just buying something because I see it and think that I want it.

5. Wake up earlier.
As I mentioned before, I have been out of “normal life” for years now. I haven’t had much to do, so I have had a lot of time to just do what I want, like sleep in.
However, I am noticing that I feel less productive throughout the day when I wake up at 10.30 every morning, so I wanna try to wake up earlier, so I can feel more productive, do more things in a day, and prepare myself for normal life.

6. Read at least 20 books.
Books, a great love of mine. In 2016 I set a goal for myself to read 20 books, and I actually did it (just barely, on the 30th I finished my last book)! This year I set the same goal, 12 months, 20 books. I already have a giant pile of books lying around that I am planning on reading in the next few months, and even more that I have to buy or find at my local library first. I sense a very book-y blog post coming up…
