Well there we go, my very first empties post. These kind of video’s have been really popular on Youtube lately, and as I really enjoy watching them I thought I would write a blog post just like that. So here are all the products I finished over the last few months.
The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil
Starting with skincare, this is one of my all time favourite products. I have been using Tea Tree Oil for years now, putting it on spots if I have any. It helps dry them out, and clear up my skin. I always have to have a little bottle of this stuff, and as soon as I notice it’s almost empty I have to run to The Body Shop and get a new one.
The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream
I also finished an eye cream. This was my first eye cream so I have nothing to compare it to, but I really liked it and am now using the same one. It did the job, hydrating my eyes, didn’t sting or anything. I like it and will continue using it.
The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Lotion SPF 15
A daily moisturizer from the same line as the eye cream. Both are for all skin types, which is great, but after going through 2 tubes of this stuff I noticed that is was a little too oily for my combination skin, so I decided not to repurchase this one. It did moisturize my skin quite well, and protects it as well because of the SPF.
I do really like all the Body Shop skincare products I’ve tried so far, so I will definitely keep trying their stuff.
Maybelline Volum’ Express Mega Plush mascara
Moving on to make up, this is one of my all time favourite mascaras. Sadly not available in stores in The Netherlands, but you can get in online. This mascara makes my lashes nice and thick, long and holds the curl, without making them stiff and crunchy. I love Maybelline mascaras anyway, but this is probably my number 1! (although the combination I’m using now is really nice as well).
Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Khol Kajal Eye Liner
Another product that I will forever repurchase. This eye pencil was my first and I have used it with so much love. It’s really black and long lasting on my waterline, and soft enough so I could blend it out on my lid if I wanted to. It doesn’t smudge under my eyes, which is great because I don’t think the “drunk Panda” look suites me all that well.
The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body Butter
Aah, the cult favourite The Body Shop body butter. I absolutely love this product and have been using it for years. It moisturizes my dry skin very well, (especially in the winter) and smells wonderful. I always like to buy the mini’s so I can try out a lot of different scents. However, as much as I love the product and this particular scent, I don’t like it as a body butter. For some reason citrus-y scents don’t work for me as butters, even though I did love the scent. Won’t be repurchasing this exact one, but I already have a few new butters in different scents, and if I can find it I will probably get this scent in a shower gel for summer.
Batiste Dry Shampoo Dark & Brunette
A staple for me, I go through so many of these. Since I only wash my hair once a week I need this on the last few days to keep my hair looking fresh and non greasy, the way I like it. It also, because this one is made for dark hair, doesn’t leave a white layer on my head so I don’t look like my hair is starting to get gray.
Palmolive Extra Nourishing Conditioner
Lastly I finished a conditioner. It did the job, made my hair nice and soft, but it’s not the best out there. It did smell nice, a bit like honey (which makes sense since there is honey extract in there). But I won’t be repurchasing this conditioner.
